About
Cropping |
Simply put, cropping refers to the removal of the outer parts of an image to improve framing, accentuate subject matter or change aspect ratio. A digital image is usually framed to be a 4"x6" image or any size in the same ratio (8x12, 16x24, etc.). If an image is to be cropped to an 8x10 or 5x7, part of the image has to be removed. This is not usually important, because there is usually enough space around the subject to crop accordingly. However, sometimes part of the subject will be cropped. We will crop the image to the size ordered prior to being sent to print. That ensures that an important part of the image is cropped out. |
